The day job

I'm a structural engineer at Associated Engineering in Vancouver, working on civic infrastructure across Canada and the U.S. Water and wastewater structures, seismic design, the usual mix of analysis and drawings.

What has my spare attention

Engineering automation, mostly. Building agentic tooling like ETABuddy, rebuilding this site into something that actually reflects the work, and following through on the InnovAEtion 2026 win rather than letting it sit as a line on a resume.

What I'm learning

Spec-driven agentic development, local model orchestration with Ollama, and the operations side of running my own infrastructure end to end. The theme is the same one running through everything else: pointing engineering discipline at software.
